Yes it was you and me
So young & wild & free
Not a problem or care in the world
And high school lovers were we
The movies on a friday night
The high school car washes too
Passing notes in the
middle of class
Eating lunch in the cafeteria with you
The Proms when we dressed to the nines
And the dancing till the cows came home
And of course sneaking out to the car
So our wine wouldn't feel
so alone
And how we vowed to marry someday
And have our own little house with kids
But as we know those high school days
Sometimes turn out to be fibs
Nonetheless they are memories to stand
And we will never forget those days
Of two young lovers in love
Going through a wonderful phase
