My Life
( In Titles Of )
"Beatle Songs"
Me being raised in the projects
Was kind of
"A Hard Day's Night"
And it was hard to
"Follow The Sun"
Where hardships were the only light
And "This Boy" was only seven
And didn't know what it
was all about
But my Mom would
always be saying
Don't worry
"We Can Work It Out"
"Yes It Is" a definite fact
Financially we needed "Help"
And when it was
"All Too Much"
I'd just let out a very big yelp
And "Because" we didn't have a car
We rode the "Day Tripper" instead
Headed to the welfare line
For free butter and a loaf
of bread
"Something" about it
made me cry
Going through those
things as such
Especially on my "Birthday"
When I wouldn't get nearly as much
Although it's a part of "Yesterday"
It will remain "In My Life" forever
But in spite of what I'd
gone through
It has made me much stronger than ever
So as they say in the books of life
On the past just "Let It Be"
So I'll "Come Together" with that thought
And keep living for a better new me
